Cocoa that leaves more at origin
For CURICOOP, sustainability is not just another seal: it is the reason the cooperative exists. We grow cocoa so that the forest, the soil and the families of Curimaná are better off every season.

Social impact
- More stable incomes: collective, direct sales achieve better prices than individual sales to middlemen.
- Ongoing agronomic support in crop management, post-harvest handling and plant health.
- Training in good agricultural practices and cooperative management for members and the next generation.
- Democratic governance: decisions are made at the members’ assembly.

Environmental impact
- Agroforestry systems: cocoa grows in the shade of native and fruit trees, preserving biodiversity.
- Certified organic farming: no synthetic agrochemicals, with organic fertilizers made on the farms.
- Deforestation-free: geo-referenced plots support the due diligence required by the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
- Solar drying: beans are dried by the sun, with no firewood or fuel.
Traceability from plot to container
Every lot is recorded with its growers, plots, fermentation and drying dates, and quality results, so any buyer can know the exact origin of their cocoa. See the full five-stage process.
